Crédit Agricole opens its first “Le Village”in Italy

FCA Bank supports Crédit Agricole in the opening of the first “Le Village” outside France.

Le Village by CA is a project involving incubators for high-potential start-ups. The objective of these innovation hubs created by Crédit Agricole is to support and accelerate new highly-promising companies by putting them in touch with partners in the area.

The Milan hub is number 28 and will focus on start-ups operating in traditional areas of Italian excellence - Food, Fashion, Furniture & Design - and in sectors related to the Crédit Agricole Group, that is Fintech/Insurtech, Future Mobility, France. To achieve the acceleration process, the Village relies on partners that specialize in the sectors selected for the Milan incubator, to create networks and establish long-term ties.
The Future Mobility sector has been chosen also in view of FCA Bank’s participation in the project. The start-ups will be able to establish relationships useful for their growth process also after they leave the incubator

On 6 December 2018 a “Call for startups” will be launched in relation to two themes: FinTech – Innovation for banks and insurance companies (Insurtech) and Future Mobility – Innovation for mobility and transportation. The initiative is intended for innovative startups and young companies engaged in these sectors that are interested in joining Le Village by CA, Milan.

Le Village by CA in Milan is located in the centre of Milan, in a XIII century convent in Porta Romana. Between 40 and 50 startups, for a total of 2700 workstations, will be hosted in a m2 2700 space, where they will receive such services as:
- Business acceleration: mentoring, training programs, matching with corporates
- Fund-raising: networking with investors and corporates
- Internalization support
- Corporate innovation
FCA Bank enters into a veritable ecosystem where the single parts - startups, corporate partners and enablers - contribute to the development of the Village by giving life to a circular economy that can be summarized by the concept “cooperate to innovate”.
